Prof. Lucio Lo Russo
Prof. Lucio Lo Russo graduated in Dentistry in 1998 at the University “Federico II” of Naples (Italy), where he subsequently obtained his PhD. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Oral Diseases at the School of Dentistry of the University of Foggia. He is involved in basic and applied clinical research related to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of oral diseases, in particular in the field of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, and Digital Dentistry. He has published more than 130 scientific papers, most of which in high impact international scientific dental and medical journals.

Is there digital denture base
If you have provisional dentures that are now ok. Can you scan them, both faces, and match them with the impression of the mucosa? In that way we could also register the relation between maxilla and mandibula.

How do you fix the teeth on the denture base?
The upper denture retention looks very satisfactory. How about the retention of the lower denture? Do you have any video to demonstrate as you did for the upper jaw? Thank you.
How do you get the right extension of the denture border?
For Partially Edentulous cases, particularly with Bilateral free-end Extensions , do you find the Direct Intraoral scan protocol accuracy is as good or better than a Conventional Impression which is scanned in?
How do you register jaw relations digitally?
After performing the IOS of the edentulous ridges and prior to fabricating the printed baseplates for wax rims, how do you decide on the extensions of the denture flanges and how do you know these will be conforming to the functional sulcus depth that we get conventionally by border molding?

how do you evaluate flange extension especially with lower denture, when functional molding is done to extend lingual flange in severly resorbed ridges
What auxillary instruments you use to retract the tongue and cheek ?

How do you control the saliva and tongue when scanning the mandible edentulous ridge – I find it very difficult especially if the patient has a very hyperactive tongue
